About meI started competing in agility when I was 8, with my first heading dog Brodi. Brodi became an agility champion and started me on my love of training dogs and competing in agility. When I started out, there were no junior classes or camps, so it was straight into the deep end against the adults.
Since then, I've trained and competed with multiple champions, each with their own different traits and specialties, and of course weaknesses, which means I've learnt a lot along the way. I'm grateful to my dogs for their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, whether it be training or competing in rain, hail or shine. They're always ready to learn and try their hardest no matter what. My trip to the UK in 2010 to compete as the IFCS Agility World Champs was a highlight, and a new look into agility in different parts of the world. |
Training with Chelsea
"Since training with Chelsea my confidence with my handling has improved immensely. She has awesome ideas, as well as clear, unique and easy to understand instructions. Chelsea has been fantastic at helping me work with two very different dogs(drive/energy levels/experience/breed) and has helped me in a light hearted, fun way! Her knowledge is huge and she thinks of new techniques as soon as they are needed.
Chelsea has a fantastic sense of humour and is very approachable. She pushes me out of my comfort zone and she knows how to set my dogs and I up for success! I love how I leave EVERY training session on a high, positive and with a plan on what I need to work on and how to achieve my goals!"
"I have been very lucky to attend more than one Seminar of Chelsea Marriner with my young dogs.
These seminars have been so rewarding to me and my dogs. I enjoy the way Chelsea helps and guides you to bring the best out of yourself and your dogs. Chelsea always listens and helps, I admire her for the knowledge and support that comes with this, an amazing handler to look up to
We are very lucky to have such a talented handler with so much knowledge to share. To be as half as good as Chelsea is a goal everyone should have.
I’m very proud to call Chelsea my trainer."
"I am an experienced agility handler with a great little dog but we couldn’t quite get our act together to pick up ribbons on a regular basis. After attending one of Chelsea’s seminars we gelled as a team and the difference was remarkable. The first show following the seminar we picked up a first and now she is on her way to becoming an Agility Champion. Chelsea has an amazing eye to pick up the slightest handling improvements to achieve faster tighter runs. I highly recommend anyone who has the opportunity to attend a training session or seminar with Chelsea."
