School shows

We have performed for numerous schools around the country, always with excellent comments and reviews from both children and staff. The children stay connected throughout the whole show, and the staff are impressed with the balance between entertainment and education.
Approximately 35 minutes duration, our school shows are aimed specifically at the children. The high energy and informative show teaches the children about the basics of safety around dogs, and encourages them to read, write and work towards goals.
We cover several important topics in a fun way that keeps the children involved and interested right the way through.
Topics we cover include:
Question and answer time is optional, to give classes the chance to find out a bit more in depth about Chelsea and her involvement with dogs, her achievements at the World Agility Championships in England, and her time on TV performing with Quest, or the Dogmatic team on New Zealand's Got Talent.
Worksheets and an information sheet (master copies) are provided before we attend the school.
Schools we have previously performed at have always enjoyed having us, and we are often asked back to perform again. Children are always very excited after watching the dogs, and we've been told it's a talking point for a long time after we've been, and encourages some excellent story writing and language development.
Our school shows are best performed outside on grass, but we can perform in a hall or similar if the weather isn't good.

To Whom it May Concern
It is a great pleasure to recommend Chelsea Marriner and her troop of 10 well trained canines to any other schools or organisations that are offered the opportunity to see Chelsea and her group perform.
Our kids ranging from 5 to 12 years old all thoroughly enjoyed the very entertaining show, not to mention the staff and other adults that were present.
Chelsea was great to deal with and runs a professional and well organised set up.
We will definitely be looking forward to having Chelsea and the crew perform for us again in years to come.
Your sincerely

Hi Chelsea
Just a quick note to say thanks for the great show that you gave our children last term.
The dogs were amazing! Both children and staff members were blown away with the tricks the dogs were able to perform. You have obviously spent many hours training the dogs and preparing for the show.
Thanks to Alex for the commentary during the show which was interesting and informative.
The children were really keen to write about the show afterwards and we got some great stories from them!
Thanks also for the positive messages you and Alix gave about the importance of reading as well as talking about dog safety.
Kind Regards
Steve - Deputy Principal - Greenmeadows School - Napier

What the kids say!
- I strongly believe that every school in New Zealand should book the very entertaining Dogmatic dog show because it’s a great way to brighten up your day. Chelsea told us that we need to give our dogs a good home. They showed us that they need a good place to sleep so Shift wrapped himself up in a blanket. The dogs did amazing tricks that you would never think to teach your dogs but Chelsea did. My favourite was the flying trick when Shift held onto a toy rope and swung around as stiff as a statue it was amazing .That’s not all, they can read - wow amazing, talented and smart, you can’t resist that. My favourite dogs were Shift, Sprint and Spy. I liked Shift because of his beautiful eyes and because he could fly. Sprint is so fast and helpful to the environment, he picks up the rubbish. Spy likes to pretend to wash her feet in a bowl and walk on Chelsea’s feet. The dogs are a great way to teach the school a couple of messages. If you want to be entertained book this show now!
- On the Dogmatic show it shows lots of awesome tricks. Like skateboarding, reading and shooting hoops. It’s really awesome because it’s a good time to laugh and laugh. I think you should have some more tips about recycling like the dogs do. Chelsea’s dogs don’t like the environment being messy so they like cleaning! They even put the rubbish in the bin like in public places like school!
- The Dogmatic dog show by Chelsea is a great learning experience for children to learn how to respect dogs have feelings and to show more care for animals. Most of the dogs did some pretty amazing trick like Spy can walk on Chelsea’s feet. The other tricks were picking up bowls, and cleaning that was done by Flash - she pretended to clean the kitchen floor. Sprint picks up the bowls and puts them into a pile and the best trick of all was dancing because Flash loves dancing to the beat.
- I strongly think that you should book this show because… Chelsea talked about responsibility, teaching your own dog and training. You have to feed them every day so they have lots of energy, give them clean water everyday so they are hydrated and walk them and keep them doing tricks.
Our school really liked the show and learned a lot from the messages Chelsea and her dogs told us about.
- The Dogmatic show was fantastic and you should book them to come to your school. The dogs did some tricks and they were fantastic. The tricks they did were shooting hoops, jumping, reading and a lot more tricks. The dogs were really clever when they were doing their tricks. You wouldn’t believe it - the dogs taught our school to not litter. The dogs were awesome, they were so cool when they were shooting hoops. Shift could wrap himself in a blanket and he looked so cute. I strongly advise you to book the dogmatic dog show because they are so awesome.
- Thank you so much for coming to our school. It was a pleasure meeting you. I hope you come another time. My favourite trick of the day was when Spy did flygility because she was really fast.
- After your show I thought it would be fun to be a Dog Star! Now I wish I could see your show again. I loved meeting all of the dogs and their tricks.
- Thank you so much for coming to our school! I enjoyed watching the dogs perform their tricks. Hope you get to come again!"
- Thank you for coming to our school. I really liked it when the dogs did the flygility and when Flash showed us that she did not like no dog zones! So thank you so much, we appreciate it!"
- Thank you for coming to our school, I really liked it when the dog fetched the drink from the chilly bin, it was awesome, I loved it all!"
- I really liked when the dogs got a drink from the chilly bin. All of the dogs were magnificent. Bree was the coolest of cool! You're a fabulous trainer!"
- Thank you for showing your tricks here at Tauranga Primary. I like it how Quest rode the skateboard and how Bree ran so fast, and Shift. Thank you for coming here Chelsea and your 7 beautiful dogs."
- Your show was awesome. I would really love you to come again. I also really liked it when Shift flew around and around in the air and when Quest went on the skateboard."
- My favourite dog was Legend because he was cute and had a cool name. My favourite trick was when Flash peed on the sign. I like the show because there were champions in Dog Stars. Thank you for coming to our school."
- Thank you so much for coming to our school. It was really worth waiting for. I liked it how you said things quietly and how they did it. Quest is my favourite because she puts her enthusiasm into her work."
- Thank you for coming to Greenmeadows School. We really enjoyed watching the dog show. I really liked it when Bree went on the skateboard. My favourite dog is Bree because she is really good at going on the agility course.I also liked it when Legend played basketball."
- Thank you for the dog show. We really enjoyed it. I hope you come again. I liked it when the dog rode on the skateboard. The most amazing thing was the dog jumping on Chelsea's back and waving."
- Thanks! Dogmatic was amazing, if it was a light it would blind us!
- I loved your show, it was ka pai. Thanks for coming to my school.
- I really enjoyed your show. The best dog was the one that hid in the suitcase. I like the moves that were dancing, surfing and wrapping himself in a blanket.
- I loved seeing all your amazing dog tricks that they do. They are very talented dogs. I don't have a favourite because they are all my favourite, and the tricks are so cute.
- Thank you for bringing your dogs to school. The best dog was the one that was reversing and sneaking up. I liked the way that one of the dogs had to pretend to be asleep so he could not go to school.
- Thank you for bringing your dogs, I loved all of them. My best dog was Quest because Quest is so cool. I really want you to come back again!
- I enjoyed your show and can't wait until you come again. My favourite dog was Legend because I liked his weaving.
- That was a spectacular show. My best dogs are Legend, Quest and Bree but my favourite dog is Shift. I liked it when Legend did some basketball shots! I hope you come here again with more tricks and all of your dogs - I would love that!
- Your dogs are amazing. I loved your Dogmatic show. I can't choose my favourite dog, they are so amazing!
- Thank you for bringing your dogs to school. I liked all your tricks but most of all I liked the surfing trick. I really liked it when it was scared of the shark and it was standing on its back legs.
- Thank you for showing us your dogs and I loved watching. My favourite dog was Quest because I liked it when she weaved backwards around your legs. I also like Shift because of his blue eyes and how he danced. Thank you Chelsea for showing your Dogmatic show. I hope you come back.
- Thank you very much for bringing your dogs out for the day. I really liked it how you made Shift do that helicopter thing, it was very funny to watch. So thank you very much!
- Thank you so much for coming along and showing us what companions dogs can be and how smart dogs are. I remember last year on NZ's Got Talent I watched your audition and was completely inspired.
- Your Dogmatic show was so inspirational. I thoroughly enjoyed it. From your show I learnt that when you give up, you're not helping yourself or the animal. My favourite dogs were Shift and Rip but all of your dogs had such wonderful personalities as well. Their tricks were fun and they looked like they were glowing with happiness. What I am trying to say is that I loved your show!
- Thank you for coming and showing us your dogs and their tricks. It was wonderful to think how a dog can be trained to do that. But what I did observe is that you never force your dogs to do anything, you treat them well.
- Thanks so much for coming to our school and showing us your amazing dogs! I really enjoyed watching the dogs who jumped through your arms. I thought the funny tricks you taught them were brilliant. We all appreciated you coming to our school and showing us your dogs. I learnt to never give up, just practice, practice, practice.
- Thank you for bringing all of your dogs here, they were all wonderful. They all behaved and did tricks beautifully. It was so amazing, I started jumping on my seat, it was that cool! I still don't understand where all those tricks come from. All of your dogs were so cute.
